CHEESE FILLED NAAN BREAD: tantalizing and easy to make!
Extra soft, chewy, and stuffed generously with cheese. It's so delicious! And the best part? This cheesy stuffed Naan bread is so easy to make and pretty difficult to mess up.
INGREDIENTS:
30ml (2 tbsp) of water (warm)
4g (1 tsp) of sugar
7g (2 tsp) of dry yeast
450g (3 cups) of flour
60ml (1/4 cup) of olive oil
80g (1/3 cup) of yogurt
160ml (2/3 cup) of water (warm)
2g (1/4 tsp) of salt
Cheese
Parmesan cheese
Extra virgin olive oil
Parsley
Garlic
METHOD:
Into a small bowl, add the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Mix everything, cover with a cloth and let it sit for 10 minutes.
In a bowl add the flour, oil, yogurt, warm water, salt, and the proofed yeast. Mix until a dough comes together and then knead for 1 minute. Cover the dough with clean film and let it rest for 1 hour.
After the time has elapsed, divide it into 7 to 8 equal portions (8 for smaller pieces, 7 for larger). Spread the dough just a little bit on the working surface and then add about cheese and a sprinkle of grated parmesan in the center.
Bring the edges together and seal tightly into a ball. Then roll it out with the rolling pin as thin as possible without tearing it until it's thin and wide.
Heat the pan over medium heat. Once it's hot, drop one in at a time. Cook on one side until golden brown and flip over and cook the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes.
To a small bowl, add the minced garlic, salt, and parsley. Mix all together and brush the naan bread with the garlic mixture on both sides.
