3 INGREDIENT "SUPER EASY" FONDANT RECIPE
Making fondant is super easy using just marie biscuits that are mostly n easily available. I have shared many fondant recipes but I assure you this is the best in taste and easiest to make. Kids will love its taste. This Fondant allows beginners and experienced bakers to make HOMEMADE CAKES look professional. I have made few characters also using this. You can flavor it and color it as per your choice and requirement of cakes, cupcakes etc…
As a beginner, I started making my fondant cakes with this recipe. Eventually I improved it time to time leading me in the discovery of "THE MOST FLEXIBLE FONDANT RECIPE".
INGREDIENTS:
SUGAR SYRUP:
1. Sugar 1/4 cup
2. Water 1/4 cup
3. Lemon juice 1 tsp
FONDANT DOUGH:
1. Gelatin 2 tsp
2. Icing sugar 1 cup ( you can add more according to liquid mixture)
IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. Add water carefully If your fondant is wet or too soft while mixing add more biscuitspowder, it can differ depending on climate and ingredients.
2. Use fondant immediately or store in airtight container in fridge. When ready to use, bring to room temperature and knead again until soft.
3. Knead fondant at least 10 to 12 minutes.
TIPS FOR WORKING WITH FONDANT:
1. For longer storage, roll fondant into a ball, Wrap in plastic wrap, then place the wrapped fondant in an airtight container. It can be stored for up to 1 week this way. Do not freeze it.
If fondant is too sticky to roll, knead in a little and add few drops of oil.
2. Make sure your hands are clean when handling fondant, and avoid wearing clothing with fibers that might shed.
3. If you are covering a cake or cupcakes with fondant, lightly cover with a glaze or buttercream frosting first to create a smooth surface.
