MEATBALLS IN BOLOGNESE SAUCE

MEATBALLS IN BOLOGNESE SAUCE 🍝

Served with spaghetti pasta. I’ll add the recipe up on my story highlights soon! This recipe is really easy to make, meatballs even held together without using an egg! Don’t have fresh herbs? Substitute with dried herbs at a ratio of 3 Fresh Herbs : 1 Dried Herbs.

.

.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup Breadcrumbs

3 Tbsp Milk

600g Ground Beef

2 Tsp Crushed Garlic

1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme leaves

1 can Tomato Puree

1 cup Beef Stock

4 Basil Leaves

Salt and Pepper

METHOD :

1. In a large bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and milk. Then add ground beef, thyme, crushed garlic, salt and pepper – mix until combined.

2. Prepare a tray to hold balls until cooking, I used a baking tray. Then form balls of about two tablespoon measurements, and place on the tray.

3. Heat a pan on medium heat and add the tomato puree, beef stock and basil leaves. Stir the pot contents and bring it to a simmer.

4. When simmering, add the meat balls and cook for 15 minutes or until balls are cooked through, remember to turn them in the pan. Once cooked through, remove basil leaves and serve.
