MEAT PIE

It's so yummy guys!!😋


INGREDIENTS :

For the pastry:

°4 cups of flour

°200g of cold butter

°1 tsp salt

°1 tbsp sugar

° 2 eggs

°1 tsp baking powder

°¼ cup cold water


For the filling:

°350g minced meat

°1 peeled potato, cubed

°1 large onion

°1 large carrot

°1 cup water

°Salt and pepper to taste

°2 tbsp flour

°2 tbsp oil

°1 egg for brushing



METHOD: 

mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl and add cubed butter. 

Mix together till you get a crumby texture.

- beat 2 eggs with cold water and mix till your dough is formed

- cover with cling film and refrigerate for 30 mins

- heat oil in a pan and saute onion for 3 mins. Add scotch bonnet, carrot and cook for 2 mins

- add meat and break apart, cook for 3 mins and add thyme, salt, seasoning powder.

- add cubed potatoes and mix well

- add flour and cook for 2 mins more

- Brush with egg and bake at 270°C for 20 mins.
