SO HERE'S A RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 onion diced, 1/4 large green pepper diced, 1/2 red peppers sliced, about 1.5 cups cabbage chopped (medium pieces including dark green leafs), 1 tbsp crushed garlic and ginger, 1/2 cup diced potatoes, 1/2 carrots diced, 1tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp curry powder, 1 tbsp fish spice, 1 tbsp basil dried, salt.

Olive or sunflower oil.

Optional: 1 tbsp chicken/vegetable stock powder.

METHOD:

Sauté onion + green pepper + garlic & ginger paste in olive oil till onions are soft. Reduce heat to medium. Add all the spices [including salt] + cabbage + carrots + potatoes and continue to 'fry cook' till potatoes are soft with lid covered [ ensure you add a bit of water if things starts burning]. Add in red peppers and fry for a few more minutes (+/-2 min). Add 120ml of water (depending on how much soup you want) - add 1 tbsp of your favorite chicken or vegetable stock powder if you have (totally optional) . Cover and let it simmer on low heat till the soup has thickened a bit.

Serve with any side of your choosing. I enjoy mine solo, or with bread or pap
