MENATLANA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken feet fresh & clean - I used 600g (you can use upto 1kg for this recipe)

Chicken gizzard cleaned - 500g

Spices: 1 tbsp crushed garlic, 1/2 tsp crushed ginger, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp turmeric, 1. 5 tsp curry powder, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tbsp ground  Coriander and bay leaves. (you can add chilli flakes or chillies if you want).




OTHER SPICES/SEASONINGS :

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp sweet chilli sauce, 1 tsp tomato paste and 2-4 tbsp of cooking oil, knorr chicken stock cube and a bit of salt (optional because we are using stock cube).

Bell peppers chopped : about 1/2 peppers in total.

500g water.



METHOD:

In a large enough pot, add oil, chicken feet, gizzards and all spices.

Put your stove on medium, start 'cook frying' the pieces  till the meat is medium cooked/soft. You can cover the pot to let the steam help cook the meat faster while frying-but make sure that nothing burns (add a bit of water Or reduce heat if you feel like everything is burning).

Once your pieces are medium cooked, add all the 'other spices/seasonings), peppers and water to the pot.

Let it cook until the meat is well cooked and the soup has thickened a bit [you can always add more water if you feel like the meat isn't cooked enough and you are running out of soup].

Turn of the stove. Leave the pot of the stove covered and serve when ready.
