Basic beef stew. One of thee best stew I have ever made (considering how basic it is).
Serves 4-6 people
30-45 minutes
Prep time : - /+10 min
Ingredients:
Beef stew (about 500g)- cut and cleaned
1/2 Medium Onion
1/4 of medium Green pepper(you can use green and yellow peppers too)
1 medium tomato diced
1 tbsp curry powder
Salt
2 tbsp cooking Oil (I used conola)
Water
Method :
1. Brown beef pieces in heated oil on medium high heat - till 'medium cooked'.
2. Add onions and pepper. Fry together with the browned beef pieces till your onions are translucent (medium cooked).
3. Add your curry and salt. Mix and stir fry for about 1 minute.
4. Add in your tomatoes. Stir fry for a minute or two and...
5. Add water (about 400 ml- adjust depending on how much soup you want).Cover and let it simmer covered for 10-15 minutes or till the soup starts to thicken a little.
Note that this isn't going to thicken too much because of the ingredients used--they dknt really have thickening properties...
Once you are happy with your soup and taste you can now serve.
Enjoy
I appreciate
